Join us on Friday, April 17, 2026 in Toronto, for a workshop with Jan Chorowski, CTO and Co-Founder of Pathway, who will present "BDH: The Missing Link between the Transformer and Models of the Brain." Hosted by Chris J. Maddison, the session will explore a new large language model architecture inspired by scale-free biological networks.
The talk will introduce BDH as a brain-inspired model in which attention emerges from local graph-based interactions and Hebbian-style learning, while also offering a GPU-friendly implementation with Transformer-like performance.
The session is open to Vector faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, students, faculty affiliates, researchers at affiliated institutions, and other prospective attendees via contact with Vector. Lunch is provided for in-person attendance.
See you at the workshop!
